The location of any sensor can be changed by going through the below steps.
- Setting the sensor location for the first time
- Setting a new sensor location
- Fine-tuning via drag and drop
Setting the sensor location for the first time
- Navigate to the sensor dashboard by clicking on the sensor ID in the respective sensors widget on the landing page.
- Click on the pin icon above the eraser to set a new location for the sensor. Place the sensor on the map via left click on your mouse.
Setting a new sensor location
- Navigate to the sensor dashboard by clicking on the sensor ID in the respective sensors widget on the landing page.
- Click on the eraser icon on the left hand side of the map. Then click on the sensor. This erases the current location of the sensor.
- Now you can click on the pin icon above the eraser to set a new location for the sensor. Place the sensor on the map via left click on your mouse.
Fine-tuning via drag and drop
If you find that the sensor is misplaced, for example just by a few buildings, you can use the drag-and-drop feature to move the sensor. Simply click the respective icon on the left side of the map and then move the sensor by clicking and holding the left panel of your mouse until the sensor is placed in the right location on the map.
