Why don't my sensors transmit any data?

Our sensors work with the LoRaWAN protocol. This protocol is not natively available in every country in the world. Please find a list of countries where this is the case here. If you want to read up on the LoRaWAN  technology and how it works, please consult this article.

Countries with native LoRaWAN network:

  • Switzerland
  • France
  • Finland
  • Belgium
  • Netherlands

If your sensors do not show any data, the most common issue is that they are not in reach of a LoRa device that it can send its data to. In this case, the sensor will store the data until it is in reach of such a device. Depending on the measurement frequency, the sensors can store data up to 6 months.

As part of our service, we can help you to set up your own LoRaWAN infrastructure on your compounds. Please reach out to us in order to explore whether this is a useful solution to you.

If you are in a country with native LoRaWAN infrastructure and you can rule out that the sensor is damaged in any way, please reach out to us to investigate what issue the sensor might have. Of course, in rare cases it does happen that sensor hardware breaks seemingly unnoticed. In those cases, we will be happy to evaluate whether you qualify for a free replacement of the sensor.
